Acts 28:11 to 31 "Finishing Well"

We reach the end of the Acts of the Apostles in this sermon series called "Unstoppable" and we see the Lord grants to Paul the opportunity to be in Rome and Paul is "Finishing Well." That means different things to different people.

Acts 28:1-10 "Have You Been to Malta?"

Paul and 276 onboard an Alexandrian ship wash ashore on Malta. It appears that they have reached a refuge, a sanctuary but trials still lie ahead. Join Pastor Ken as we travel through the Acts of the Apostles in this sermon series called "Unstoppable"

Acts 27: 21-44 Shipwrecked

Acts 27:1-20 "Storms of Life"

In Acts 27, the Apostles Paul is headed to Rome on a prisoner ship with his companions Dr. Luke and Aristarchus. However, all does not go right as they quickly run into a major storm that Paul fears will bring ruin. We can learn much from this passages regarding our own "Storms of Life"

 

Acts 26"Paul's Five Minutes Before the King"

Acts 26 continues with Paul before King Herod Agrippa II and Bernice. Governor Festus is hoping that he can find something to write to Caesar about Paul. However Paul take this opportunity to give his testimony hoping that King Agrippa may truly know Jesus.

Acts 25:13-27 Paul before Agrippa and Bernice

In Chapter 25 of the Acts of the Apostles, the new governor Festus, brings Paul before King Agrippa and Bernice. This is not a trial but Festus hopes that perhaps Agrippa can provide some answers to what Paul should even be charged with by Rome.

Luke 14: 16-24 Parable of the Great Supper

Jesus tells three stories in 14th chapter of Luke all having to do with invitations to events. In the Parable of the Great Supper many are invited but some choose to decline.

Acts 25:1-12 Paul Appeals to Caesar

In Caesarea, the new Governor, Festus sits in the Judgement Seat while Paul is accused by the religious leaders from Jerusalem. The charges are all false but they are asking to allow Paul to be tried in Jerusalem. Paul knows that there will not be a fair trial so he appeals to be heard by Caesar.

 

Acts 24 "Paul before Felix"

In Acts 24, Paul stands before Felix as the high priest and his hired mouthpiece, Tertullus, accuse Paul of dissension and defaming the Temple. Paul is of course innocent and no witnesses come forth. However, Felix is also on trial and needs to decide for God or against God. Join Pastor Ken as he travels through the Acts of the Apostles.

Acs 23:11-35 The Jewish Conspiracy

40 Jewish men, full of zeal but lacking understanding, take a vow to Kill Paul. The Sanhedrin is in on the conspiracy as well. Paul's nephew hears of the plot and tells the Roman Commander who quickly dispatches 270 Roman soldiers to provide safe passage for Paul.
